Non-Surgical Facelift: Is the No-Knife Procedure Worth the Hype?

Posted on April 27, 2021

If you’re looking to reduce excess skin or fine lines, you’re not alone. Millions of people opt for non-surgical facelift procedures every year.

Yes, a non-surgical facelift is worth the hype. But since I am a man of science, I know that I had to explain why.

From making you look younger to boosting your confidence, a non-surgical facelift comes with various benefits.

But before we go into more detail, let me explain what a non-surgical facelift is.

What Is a Non-Surgical Facelift?

This type of facelift is a non-invasive procedure, which means that you don’t have to go under the knife. Plus, it’s not as painful as a surgical facelift procedure.

In particular, a non-surgical facelift can help:

  • Reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Rejuvenate your face
  • Restore volume
  • Improve skin texture

Given this, ideal candidates for a non-surgical facelift include women suffering from wrinkles, fine lines, and facial volume loss.

These women are usually in their 40s to 60s. However, younger women who wish to rejuvenate their skin can also undergo a non-surgical facelift.

What is a Phi Lift Procedure?

Many people ask me about my signature phi lift procedure. So to make things clear, I decided to talk about it here.

My signature phi lift procedure involves the use of dermal fillers. These fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, which helps boost collagen levels.

The fillers give you a more youthful and beautiful look by enhancing the phi lines, in accordance with the Golden Ratio.

In addition, the fillers I use at the clinic are gold standard, FDA-approved ones. To minimize pain, I use the cannula technique.

What Are the Benefits of a Non-Surgical Facelift?

1. It’s more affordable.

Compared to surgical facelifts, non-surgical ones are more affordable. Specifically, you can save up to north of a thousand pounds.

2. It requires a short recovery time.

In general, a non-surgical facelift can heal within a day. My patients are back to their regular routines the next day.

3. It’s not too painful.

I hate to break it to you, but having surgery is extremely painful. If you don’t want to feel that pain, a non-surgical facelift can do the trick.

4. It poses fewer risks.

Since your face doesn’t have to be cut, a non-surgical facelift poses fewer risks. Side effects include swelling, redness, and mild bruising. Plus, there’ll be no stitches and scars.

How to Reduce Side Effects of a Non-Surgical Facelift

Speaking of side effects, there are simple steps you can take to reduce them:

  • Avoid intense physical activity (e.g. weight lifting, running) for at least a whole day after the procedure.
  • Put ice on the affected area until the swelling or bruising stops. Do this at least once a day for 15 minutes.
  • Don’t sleep face down. Sleep on your side or back.
  • Gently massage the affected area for at least 10 minutes until it goes back to normal.

Follow these steps and you’ll be just fine.

How Long Does a Non-Surgical Facelift Last?

The effects of a non-surgical facelift last for a few years for some. For others, the effects can go away in a year.

However, based on my patients’ experience, the non-surgical facelift done at my clinic can last somewhere between 1.5 and 2 years.

Take note that a non-surgical facelift is a temporary fix. When compared to a surgical facelift procedure, it lasts for a relatively short time. A surgical facelift procedure can last for up to 10 years.

Does a Non-Surgical Facelift Have Limitations?

A non-invasive facelift works well in reducing wrinkles, fine lines, and excess skin.

However, as I mentioned, a non-surgical facelift doesn’t last as long as a surgical one. Given this, you have to go under the procedure again after the effects wear off. Sometimes, a non-invasive facelift also requires regular maintenance.

In addition, a non-invasive facelift cannot treat patients with severe skin laxity on the neck and face. A surgical procedure is needed to correct these issues.

Before and After Photos of Non-Surgical Facelift Patients

Still thinking if a non-invasive facelift is the right procedure for you? Take a look at what it did for my patients.

Jane (real name not revealed for privacy purposes) is in her early 40s. She never had any cosmetic procedure. However, Jane was concerned about her sagging skin.

I did a custom non-invasive facelift on her. As you can see in the after photo, her skin got smoother, and the fine lines & saggy skin were gone.

Petra (real name not revealed for privacy purposes) is in her 20s. However, her confidence decreased because of the volume on her face.

I did a custom non-surgical facelift on her. As you can see in the after photo, Jane’s cheek shape and facial balance improved.
