Why have a signature Phi-Lift?

Attractive facial characteristics are characterised by natural curves and arcs across the cheekbone and a smooth and regular jawline. An attractive face is wider at the level of the cheekbones and then narrows towards the chin, this is sometimes referred to as the “Ogee” facial curve.

With facial ageing, there is a combination of the effects of gravity in a downward direction coupled with the loss of facial volume and skin laxity. The ageing process results in loss of volume around the upper cheeks leading to a less youthful appearance. The skin that was once relatively taught and elastic becomes misshapen with more wrinkles and lines.

The Phi-Lift technique enhances facial beauty by augmenting the artistic natural lines that favour facial beauty and attractiveness. Filler injections to the cheeks can restore lost volume to can create a fuller, more youthful appearance. In addition, fillers can be used to enhance natural curves and emphasise feminine parts of the female face and masculine parts of the male face.

What is a signature Phi-Lift?

Developed by a Facial Plastic Surgeon after more than a decade of specializing in facial surgery, the Phi-Lift combines our understanding of bony anatomy, state-of-the-art innovation, and artistry. The Phi-Lift is a process of facial rejuvenation that incorporates:

  • SFV Systematic Framework Volumisation: This technology combines our understanding of natural bony anatomy and the use of state-of-the-art innovation in technology. Utilises FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler to rejuvenate your face. The type of filler is dependent on location in the face (we use only FDA approved products, the Gold Standard for quality and medical safety).
  • Phi-LIFT technology: A patented device is used to structurally augment along natural bone lines and curves along the lines of the Golden Ratio, this technology reduces the chance of bruising and swelling by 3x to conventional methods.
  • Artistic Natural Lines: every face is unique and treatment must be customised for each individual based on Phi Golden Ratio and individual facial shape. The Phi-Lift does not use a set number of injections or treatments as each treatment is customised to the individual patient.
  • Sculpted facial contouring highlighting the cheekbone area, jawlines, and areas around the eyes. Contouring the areas of the middle and lower third of the face to favour a heart face shape.
  • The Phi-Lift PLUS technique incorporates skin rejuvenation to improve the quality of your skin by reducing fine lines, pigmentation and dark spots. The Plus technique does require 1-week of downtime.
  • All treatments are completed by an accredited specialist registered with the General Medical Council in the UK.
  • Phi-Lift technology may not be suitable for all patients. Please notify your doctor if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

How is a Phi-Lift Performed?

Areas on the face are marked up where the fillers are to be injected. The lift is achieved by placing the filler into strategic points, for example in the cheek, and in wrinkles, such as the marionette lines or nasolabial folds. The jawline and chin can also be given definition with fillers.

Anaesthetic cream is applied to the areas being treated to lessen any discomfort and once the areas are numb the treatment begins.

Fillers can be used for:

  • Smile lines
  • Nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines)
  • Jawline definition and jowl softening
  • Deep folds and wrinkles
  • Sunken cheeks
  • Enhance the cheekbones
  • Remodel the chin

As the list shows, dermal fillers can address multiple areas of concern on the face yet with injections that are quick to perform and typically have no side effect beyond short-lived mild swelling.

When will I see the results from my Phi-Lift?

You will see instant results from your Signature Phi Lift. Although there may be some minor, localised swelling around the injection sites, this should resolve overnight. Some people may experience mild swelling for up to 5 days, as well as bruising.

The final results will be apparent once the swelling has subsided—typically around 5 days after the treatment. Because we apply the filler at deeper levels and use only top-grade brands, the treatment could last between 18-24 months, although this varies between patients.

Do the results of a Phi-Lift look natural?

At the forefront of facial aesthetics, we are specialists in producing natural-looking results that enhance your natural beauty rather than alter it. Our aestheticians have appeared in the media, including national television and in newspapers and magazines to explain facial cosmetic treatments, both surgical and non-surgical, and the Phi Golden Ratio that Leonardo da Vinci used to calculate where filler enhancements should be placed.

We have treated individuals from all walks of life, including A-listers and celebrities, as we understand the importance of avoiding excessive fillers that look unnatural. The application of the filler is key to enhancing the individual characteristics of the masculine and feminine face to achieve strong, male features and softer, feminine features.

This woman in her early 40s had been concerned about changes in her face with age, including the sagging in the middle and lower third of her face and a general deterioration in skin quality.

Will I experience any discomfort or pain?

  • Discomfort is minimized by the application of our own anaesthetic numbing cream that was designed in Beverly Hills and is made in Germany.
  • Our technique includes the no-needle cannula to administer the filler. It tends to produce less swelling and bruising than the older needle technique.
  • Our results are natural-looking and administered by experts in facial aesthetics. We believe the “less is more” approach achieves desirable results that can be built on if necessary.

Are there any risks or complications?

Dermal fillers are generally very safe, but that depends on several factors, such as:

  • The expertise of the practitioner
  • Their technique
  • The type of filler used

At Harley Street Filler Specialists, our clinicians are experts in facial aesthetics, only performing treatments to the face. They use the latest techniques, such as the no needle cannula, to place the filler under the skin as it produces less swelling and bruising than the older, needle technique. Furthermore, we only use gold standard, FDA-approved fillers comprising of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is found naturally in the human body and biocompatible.

Thus, adverse effects are rare with typical side effects being redness, swelling, itching or bruising for a few days.
