Customised skin care programs

Fight Ageing with Our Customised Skin Program

Our philosophy is that we don’t believe in ageing gracefully, we believe in fighting it all the way. We begin with a thorough analysis of the present condition of your skin and determine what your skin needs.

You will be guided through every step in the diagnostic process and together we will develop a customized program for your individual needs.

As a general principle, skincare needs to be customised to your individual needs:

Alpha Hydroxy and Beta Hydroxy Acids:

  • Glycolic acid exfoliates dead skin cells and stimulates new cell production in your skin
  • Salicylic acid: exfoliates surface impurities, cleanses and helps eliminates blackheads and whiteheads in your skin

Antioxidants

  • Vitamin C fights free radicals and stimulates collagen growth in your skin
  • Retinols (Vitamin A family) helps fights acne and promotes a clearer complexion and helps to reduce fine lines and improve the texture of your skin. Particularly effective for patients with thin skin and fine lines, we can recommend formulations that form less irritation of your skin than old fashioned regimes.
  • Sunscreens, often the most important step to combat aging and protect your skin against skin cancer

Chemical Peels

Customised Pigmentation Peel

A combination peel that we have formulated to reduce skin pigmentation in darker, ethnic skin. This requires a series of treatments that will continue to lighten skin pigmentation.

Recommended: one treatment per month.

TCA Peel

A deeper peel developed to eliminate the surface layers of dead skin. Your skin will initially appear frosty white, then turns a deep brownish-red before peeling.

Within one week to ten days new fresh, radiant skin will appear. Fine lines will be erased, age spots will diminish and collagen production will be stimulated. Your skin will look and act younger.

Recommended: one to two treatments per year.

Chemexfoliation

Skin is the largest, most delicate organ which has been protected since ancient times. Firstly, tackling skin concerns with herbal remedies led to prescribed products and eventually evolved to the use of the most innovative tools, and now “Chemexfoliation” which is the third most commonly performed non-invasive cosmetic procedure to date, after Botulinum toxin and Fillers!

Chemexfoliation is a medical procedure that makes use of chemical compounds specifically tailored to address your skin concerns. Highly influenced by the histological and structural regeneration of the skin it renews the epidermis and engineers its architecture, working from deep within the skin.

At The Harley Street Clinic, we take a slightly different approach when treating skin concerns. There is no one peel that could miraculously treat a wide range of skin concerns all at the same time.

Sure, you may have heard of cocktail peels, where depending on the skin concerns a range of acids are mixed together to treat the skin. However, not only has this been found to be ineffective as skin types vary but applying a mixed range of acids simultaneously over the face is associated with increased risks.

Depending on your skin type and your presenting skin condition(s) we will prescribe you with specific acids, never mixed but applied to the area(s) of concern only. This is a bespoke medical facial, tailored to your skin, with a specialised technique to reduce the associated downtime.
